The
managing staff
Olivier Gineste joined L’Imparfait in 2003 as the second chef, but quickly established himself and became Master Chef for L’Imparfait. Olivier has established a handwriting unique to L’Imparfait, but obtained his expertise in many prestigious establishments in London (The Cumberland), in the USA (The White Barn Inn in Maine), and the Michelin starred establishments of Grand Hotel Auguy in Laguiole, the Domain St Martin in Vence and the famous La Cote d’Or under the late Bernard Loiseau. Brigitte Meunier, who joined in 2006, works with Alain to ensure a warm welcome and the comfort of the diners. She is also the contact for reservations and enquiries. |

The
whole team...
Backed by an enthusiastic team in the restaurant and the kitchens, this team of managers ensures that the friendliness of the establishment is evident from the moment you enter. The style of the L’Imparfait was established by Jean and Annie Rolland, who launched L’Imparfait in 1982. In 2001, the continuity of the restaurant was assured when four enthusiastic diners and friends of L’Imparfait invested in order to establish a company for L’Imparfait (SARL Les Fontaines). British but with strong roots in the Dordogne, they love L’Imparfait with an evident passion. In 2003, the general management of the restaurant was assumed by another (French) dining friend, Michel Fernandez. The style and the friendliness lives on, and the partners are committed supporters of the restaurant as well as frequent visitors to enjoy the delights of L’Imparfait! Seen here at a celebration to thank the team (left to right) are Chris, Michel, Jim, Jill and Lisa. Perhaps the best way to describe the passion of the investors and owners of the restaurant is that in 2001, Michel, Chris and Jim were awarded the honorary title Consul du Consulat de la Vinee des Vins de Bergerac – in recognition of their devotion to a good table and Epicureanism in general! |
